Vanderpump Rules Brittany Cartwright

Brittany Cartwright “Cried A Lot” During Pregnancy When Trolls Compared Her Body Pregnant Vanderpump Rules Stars

In case you somehow haven’t heard, several Vanderpump Rules OGs (half of whom “left” the show) have become parents throughout the mess that was 2020. Scheana Shay is the most recent mama in the group and joins Stassi Schroeder, Lala Kent and Brittany Cartwright. The pregnancy pact was real AF.  And yes, Jax Taylor is embracing dad life now and combatting fake Instagram accounts for his baby boy Cruz Cauchi. And I truly wouldn’t expect anything less.

Britt and Jax have been fully enjoying the beginning of their parenting journey. And honestly, good for them. Pump Rules is moving on with Season 9 without them, but they are unbothered and enjoying their little family. They’ve taken Cruz on playdates to meet some of the other VPR babies, and truly seem very happy entering into this phase of their lives.

Unfortunately, not every “fan” can be happy for new parents, aside from their feelings about them being reality stars. Us Weekly shared a heartbreaking convo with Britt about body image where she revealed some harsh truths about becoming a mommy in the public eye. “I have friends like Lala, who literally looks like she doesn’t have a baby two days later. I mean, she is a freaking queen,” Brittany told the outlet. “I don’t even know how but my body is completely different. It’s going to be a long journey for me to get back to my weight.”

Brittany added that she’s “trying to enjoy” her body postpartum, but it’s “hard.” It’s probably hard for any mom, let alone someone in the public eye. “When I was pregnant, I got so many mean comments about what my weight gain was,” she added. “I was being heavily compared to Stassi and Scheana and Lala. … I’ve always been bigger than them, but my weight has always fluctuated and stuff. So it was just hard to see all those comments about my weight stuff when I was healthy and the baby was healthy.” Britt added that she “definitely cried a lot” from the body-shaming from trolls, which is just a reminder to all fans that words hurt. Especially when it’s about someone’s body.

“You’re already so emotional. And then, like, I was in quarantine. I was home, so I was looking at my phone more than I should have,” Brittany added. The Kentucky muffin should even have to explain ANYTHING about how someone’s comments about her body made her feel. She should be enjoying her baby boy, not dealing with internet trolls who have nothing better to do than to attack a reality star that they don’t know in real life. And especially after the year Britt’s had with her mom’s health issues, in the words of Luann de Lesseps, it’s so uncool.
