Real Housewives of New Jersey is back for Season 12!! I’ve been so into Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and Real Housewives of Orange County that I had no idea RHONJ was making its debut this week. But man, am I glad it is!
All the ladies are back, including Melissa Gorga, Dolores Catania, Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Jackie Goldschneider, and the GOAT, Teresa Giudice. I love it when a cast is so good, they stick around together for multiple seasons. Judging from the trailer, these ladies are going to deliver all the goods!
Tre recently stopped by SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live and talked about Season 12 and OGs Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita. Andy Cohen, always prepared with fun questions, asked Teresa what she thinks her life would be like if she never did the show. “Do you think you and Joe [Giudice] would still be married?” he asked. Teresa replied, “I think I would have never went to jail.”
AC interjected, saying, “and Joe wouldn’t have either,” to which Teresa replied, “I mean I don’t know, I don’t think so.” She then went on to clarify that, “the big thing he did was he didn’t file taxes and sometimes people do go away for not filing. But then if you settle with them and say you’re going to pay them maybe you won’t go away.” Tre’s response shows some surprising growth. She doesn’t often share her true thoughts about Joe, but here she’s admitting that he probably would’ve done time regardless.

Andy moved things along, repeating, “Okay, so, you wouldn’t have gone to jail,” and then asking once more, “Would you still be with Joe?” Teresa answered honestly with, “Maybe.” Then she added some more truths, saying, “Yeah, listen I was the best wife ever. And I know to Luis [Ruelas] I’m going to be even better because you know, you get better with age, and you learn things, and so yeah maybe we would’ve [stayed married].” Juicy Joe never deserved Teresa!! And neither does Luis.
Then AC asked Teresa if she thought she’d still be friends with Caroline and Jacqueline, if she’d never done the show. Surprisingly, Tre said, “Yeah, probably.” Then she doubled down saying, “Absolutely, yes. I was really close with Jacqueline. With Caroline, I wasn’t that close with her. I was respectful to her because she was the sister, and I was close to Dina [Manzo].”

I thought for sure Tre’s answer would be no, considering she cuts people out of her life. Maybe this is some sort of an olive branch? I know some of us would love to see Caroline, Dina, and Jacqueline make an appearance on RHONJ. At least once for old time’s sake!
