Carole Radziwill Compares Will Smith Slapping Chris Rock To A Real Housewives Reunion

The 2022 Oscars will go down in history as the event where actor Will Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock onstage after he made a joke about Will’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. Page Six reported that Chris made a comment about Jada’s bald head.

Chris stated, “Jada, I love you, G.I. Jane 2, can’t wait to see it.” In 1997, actress Demi Moore starred in the film G.I. Jane, and debuted her shaved head for the role. Jada suffers from the autoimmune disease, alopecia, which causes hair loss.

Censors got a real work out as they muted a furious Will screaming from the audience, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f–king mouth.” While many at first believed that it was a stunt, one look at Will’s face proved that he wasn’t kidding.

Later in the evening, Will accepted the Best Actor Oscar for King Richard and apologized to the audience and the Academy, but did not say sorry to Chris, per Page Six. But later Will issued an Instagram apology to Chris. Will wrote, “I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong.”

Of course, the Bravo-verse wanted in on the conversation about the unfortunate event. Former Real Housewives of Orange County cast member Kelly Dodd tweeted, “Was this fake?” Real Housewives of New Jersey star Margaret Josephs also shared her thoughts on Twitter. “Wow so disappointed in Will Smith’s behavior tonight,” she wrote.

Page Six reported that Real Housewives of New York alum Carole Radziwill also weighed in on Will’s actions. Carole tweeted, “Wtf. Will Smith got beef with @chrisrock.” She added, “Real gangsta s–t. And P. Diddy just saved the Night. Cool as a cucumber.” Carole added in some laughing-crying emojis for good measure.

A fan tweeted, “I’m tripping that you can assault someone on live television on stage at the Oscars and just take your seat and watch the rest of the show.” Right? That was so strange. “You’ve never seen a Housewife reunion,” Carole replied. Boom! Mic drop.

Carole is no stranger to fiery feuds. Carole became fast friends with RHONY co-star Bethenny Frankel in 2016. But during Season 10, their bond fell to pieces.

Everything came to a head at the Season 10 reunion. The former friends argued over who slammed who on the show that season. It was extremely tense to watch.

Host Andy Cohen claimed that they were both at fault, and Carole snapped. “Shut up, Andy. You’re so full of sh*t!” Carole exclaimed.

Carole felt that Andy backed up Bethenny during that fateful RHONY reunion. “I think, the audience [saw] that he was supporting Bethenny in this way that I’ve never seen him at any other reunion do that.” As for her friendship with Bethenny, Carole wasn’t shocked that it ended.

After six seasons on RHONY, Carole quit the franchise. Or, if you believe Bethenny’s version of events, Carole was pink slipped. Her relationship with Andy also suffered.

After she quit, Carole posted in her Instagram Story, “If you were doing something that was forcing you to do things that went against your own value system would you walk away regardless of the pay.” Andy wasn’t feeling Carole’s post. “She is not the person I used to know,” he stated. Bloop!

Carole apparently felt the same way about Andy, since they weren’t really friends in the first place. “I never went around saying Andy and I are really close friends. I never said that,” Carole stated. She also claimed that their close friendship was “Bravo generated.”

Carole may have left Bravo, but she kept her need to be part of the drama.
