Andy Cohen Denies New Real Housewives Franchise Rumors

If you’ve been hoping for a new installment in the Real Housewives franchise, Bravo’s head honcho, Andy Cohen, has officially shot those rumors down.

“I mean, I think we’re good,” Andy said on his radio show, Andy Cohen Live, per People. “We’re not developing any.”

Since the official announcement of BravoCon 2023 in Las Vegas, the streets have been discussing the possibility of a new Housewives announcement. “People are really excited about BravoCon in Vegas, getting so many questions about it. And I just wanna nip something in the bud right now because there is a rumor that is building online that I need to address so that we can move on,” the Watch What Happens Live host said.

“There is a train of thought that, of thinking we will be announcing at BravoCon in Vegas, the Real Housewives of Las Vegas. And I am here to tell you, we are not, no, just we are not.”  He continued, “There is no Housewives of Vegas. We are not announcing a Housewives of Vegas. So just stand down. That’s not happening.”

In March 2023, the popular gossip site, The Jasmine Brand, reported that Bravo executives were seeking women for a new installment of the Real Housewives. It would reportedly take place in New Orleans.

“There was just a rumor about Real Housewives of New Orleans and I happen to know that there is a production company who we work with all the time, who was just casting women in New Orleans to see if there was a show to be done in New Orleans. I think they are pitching it to Bravo,” Andy explained. “This wasn’t Bravo seeking out.”

From 2018-2019, the network aired the first spin-off to Southern CharmSouthern Charm New Orleans. Although the series was canceled after two seasons, many fans wish the show was in production. If the Real Housewives of New Orleans comes to fruition, the city would still be fairly new to Bravo viewers

However, Andy has confirmed the network currently has no stake in the development of any new Housewives cities. “Sometimes there are production companies that are just fishing around, not even at the behest of Bravo,” Andy said. “Just because they are looking for women and they’re gonna bring them to Bravo and try to pitch Bravo on the idea. So that’s my rumor debunk today,” he added.
