Margaret Josephs knows that her friendship with Melissa Gorga is of the utmost strategic importance. And that’s synonymous with saying that she is against Teresa Giudice. That’s how polar the sister-in-laws have become on The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
The rest of the cast have aligned themselves with one camp or another, and it’s been pretty static the past few seasons.
But recently, a rift was revealed between Margaret and demoted friend, Jackie Goldschneider. So with that news in mind, and the fact that Season 14 was confirmed at BravoCon 2023, it seems reasonable for fans to question if alliances have shifted since the volatile Season 13 reunion.
A birthday post revealed everything
Shockingly, or less so if one considers that Margaret has a tendency to share private matters between other couples, Margaret revealed that Dolores’ boyfriend Paul Connell is separated, but still legally married, to his wife during The Real Housewives of New Jersey After Show.
Jennifer Aydin has not gotten over the fact that Margaret talked publicly about her husband, Bill Aydin’s, affair. But Dolores, apparently, did not feel upset about her news getting out on the airwaves thanks to her friend.
December 28 was Dolores’ birthday, and Margaret posted a series of photos commemorating their friendship. She also sent well-wishes with a sweet caption.
“Happy Birthday my sweet Dolores! You are an amazing mother, friend, partner, and as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside! Wishing you another fabulous year around the sun, we love you tons xoxo,” Margaret wrote.
Dolores’ response shed light on the status of their friendship. In the comments, the birthday girl posted, “Love u and thank u for the friendship we share always grateful for my Marge xoxo.”
So what does this mean for the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey? Well, certainly Dolores will keep her unique position as friends to both Teresa and Melissa, as well as Melissa’s right-hand gal, Margaret.
RHONJ Season 14 will debut on Bravo later this year.
