Season 6 of Vanderpump Rules is truly the gift that keeps on giving. Monday has become my favorite day of the week. I hate to say this, but the cast’s problems get worse and worse and my Mondays just get better and better. Ultimately I want the best for them all and I view them all as friends in my head, but I have to admit that their drama always provides me with premium entertainment.
There is never a filler episode and almost every episode introduces multiple story lines. There is just always so much to dissect and poke fun at. Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval discussed the podcast drama between Billie Lee and Stassi Schroeder, Scheana Marie’s constant mentions of her now-ex-boyfriend Rob Valletta, James Kennedy’s one-sided flirtation with Lala Kent (in front of his girlfriend Raquel Leviss), and some other Vanderpump Rules hot topics.
At this point, Lala Kent has become the voice of reason on Vanderpump Rules. She always tells it like it is, which she has always done, but now she’s actually friends with everyone in the cast.
Well, she’s almost on good terms with everyone. Lala and her one-time-hookup-turned-best-friend James Kennedy are at odds after he made fun of her relationship with Randall Emmett. Watching the episode infuriated Lala even further and she insists that she is done with him.
The last few episodes of Vanderpump Rules have given me secondhand embarrassment for Scheana Marie. At first, I was happy that she was able to find love after divorce, but she has taken this “Rob Valletta is the best boyfriend” tour a little too far. She actually admitted that she timed him hanging up a television and bragged that it only took seven minutes.
Scheana’s referred to him as a “real man” too many times to count. She was acting like that house in Big Bear was her own. She wore an “R” necklace. She reminded everyone that Rob knows how to drive a boat and just had a million accolades to share about her man. As if that wasn’t awkward enough, we are all watching this, months later, knowing that the two of them are actually broken up at this point in time.
It’s difficult to keep track of James Kennedy and Lala Kent’s relationship. They go from being best friends to enemies to frienemies at the drop of a hat. And then it’s just tough watching James’ one-sided flirtation with Lala on Vanderpump Rules without feeling some sympathy for his girlfriend Raquel Leviss.
Raquel has been forced to watch James flirt with Lala and watch Logan Noh flirt with James. This woman is a saint for putting up with all this shit.
I have been waiting for this moment forever. Well, it actually hasn’t been too long. Truthfully, I have only been waiting for this moment for about a month: Summer House cast member Carl Radke finally showed up to the clubhouse to discuss those rumors that he hooked up with Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Marie. This has been discussed on many episodes of Watch What Happens Live and during podcast interviews by Stephen McGee, Kristen Doute, and Stassi Schroeder. Obviously Scheana (and her mom) denied the claims, but Carl showed up to share his version of events. Spoiler alert: it is very different than Scheana’s.
Joining Carl and Andy Cohen in the clubhouse was Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent. She discussed her newfound friendships with Katie Maloney, Kristen, and Stassi. She even commented on the speculation about James Kennedy and Logan Noh being more than just friends, and all of the other hot topics this season.
The tough thing about being on reality TV is that being open about your life often involves mentioning other people. So when Ariana Madix opened up about the lingering effects of a toxic relationship on Vanderpump Rules, she was trying to explain why she is the person she is today, but there’s no way to convey that without talking about her previous boyfriend.
Of course Ariana didn’t mention the man by name, but she is still nervous that the ex who referred to her vagina as “disgusting” is going to retaliate against her for being so open about her struggles and the impact of that relationship on her current one with live-in boyfriend Tom Sandoval.
I cannot get enough of Bravo. I wish that there was some sort of spin-off hybrid series about the Bravolebrities in between seasons. I would love to see people from different shows mingling, turning up after Watch What Happens Live, and whatever else happens before and after they post photos together on Instagram.
Since Summer House is technically a Vanderpump Rules spin-off and the two casts hang out pretty often, it’s not too hard to imagine that a hookup went down with cast members from both shows.
