Kordell Stewart has written a new book, Truth: The Kordell Stewart Story, where he opens up about his tumultuous marriage to Porsha Williams, finally confronts controversies about his sexuality, and opens up about what divorcing Porsha has taught him.
On The Steve Harvey Show, Kordell reveals that he does not blame Real Housewives Of Atlanta for his marriage failing. Actually, he has “no regrets” about appearing on the show or how he was portrayed.
Guess what?! Far from Porsha being the demure church lady she played on her first season of Real Housewives Of Atlanta, the former NFL quarterback claims she was actually a mess when they met. But Kordell’s not here to throw shade…
When Porsha Williams first appeared on Real Housewives of Atlanta, she was a modern day Stepford Wife. She did whatever her then husband Kordell Stewart wanted her to do and she ran every decision from her activities with the other Real Housewives to her wardrobe selection by him. That’s a far cry from the independent woman that’s on the show today. Not only is Porsha holding down a job at Dish Nation, but she also just purchased her first house post-divorce and posted a super cute video to celebrate.
The franchise may be called Real Housewives, but in actuality a lot of these ladies are not even wives. In fact, viewers got to see many marriages fall apart in front of the reality TV cameras.
There are some former couples that were just too annoying to watch. I felt a vicarious sense of relief when these people split up. Then there were other splits that I just never saw coming and felt weirdly sad about. Sadly, there have been a lot of Real Housewives breakups over the years.
RHOA viewers have been entertained by a more ‘turnt up,’ devil-may-care Porsha over the last couple of years. She dresses to tease and has an attitude to match, coquettish to a fault, flaunting her curves in boob-baring or booty-enhancing numbers. Porsha’s narcissism about herself has certainly been played up on the show, so admitting to Bravo ‘nude photos are just not her thing‘ is a shockingly unexpected response.
Porsha Williams was on the Steve Harvey show yesterday afternoon and chatted with him about her Real Housewives of Atlanta co-stars, her plastic surgery, and even helped do “Housewives-inspired makeovers.”
I have to say that something felt really “off” about Porsha during the interview. I don’t know if she was nervous or if she’s trying really hard to bring a bit of a “NeNe-sass” to her personality? Something was different.
Steve starts off with questions from fans. On Claudia and Kordell being called “Claudel,” she says “they should rename themselves desperados.”
On Claudia Jordan joining the cast, “From the moment Claudia joined the show, I thought she was nice.” Porsha says it confused her that Kenya Moore was trying to encourage Claudia to hook up with her ex-husband Kordell because when Kenya first joined the show, she was accusing Porsha of being Kordell’s beard but now this season was trying to set Claudia up with him. “It’s weird. It’s really weird.”
In real time, Kenya‘s birthday was Saturday. Her blog suggests that she spent it with a new love interest. “This week has been phenomenal. I took two days to celebrate my birthday. I have to say, my favorite was a couple’s massage and stimulating dinner with new people. To be honest, I feel like my life is taking a turn for the better. I think forgiveness has been key. Not only forgiving others who have wronged me, but also forgiving myself for the wrong I’ve done as well. Through my personal journey my world and heart have expanded and I’m growing every day. With that said, I’m finally able to receive and attract love the way I have always wanted.”
On loving a good road trip, especially with these ladies, Claudia admits, “I have to say I love a road trip, I really do. But when Cynthia invited me, as much as I wanted to go, I was also very nervous about getting back to Atlanta on time for my radio show. So I went hoping that if I was going to pull an all nighter, not get any sleep, and go straight to work, then dammit, it better be fun. And boy was it! From the moment I linked up with the beauties, it was non-stop laughs! I felt like a college kid again hitting the road with the ladies.”
She jokes that the trip took longer because of Kenya Moore, “I thought we would never get there. I mean a 3 hour road trip ended up being closer to 5 hours! First we could not miss a Kenya Moore feeding, because anyone that is friends with her knows that Twirl turns into tornado if she does not get her food, LOL! But I can’t be mad, because the Chick-fil-A was pretty good!” Interesting since Brandi Glanville claims that Kenya won’t eat in front of anyone…
Last night on Real Housewives Of Atlanta no one wanted to grow up as they took good old fashioned road trips, flirted with the football players, and relived their glory days at Ridgemont High on the last day of senior year. Also, Cynthia Bailey wore a stupid hat in every scene. Are her edges thinning too?!
NeNe Leakes gets picked up at the airport by Greggum, her basement troll clamoring into the sunshine for the first time in weeks, sadly it’s an overcast day and he’s forced to linger in the parking garage until he catches sight of the shiny ring. Still – it is human contact! NeNe reflects on Puerto Rico and acknowledges that maaaaaaybe her comments to Claudia Jordan were crass and terrible, so she apologized. An apology Claudia did not want to take.
Then NeNe tells us her life used to be a Lifetime Movie and she worked her way through college stripping – basically living Kyle Richards’ dream as played by Tori Spelling circa 1992. Let’s just say, NeNe skipped English 101 in favor of studying Human Sexuality, which is how she knows about the amazing transitive powers of Clawdia’s clit.
