Kenya Moore and Karen Huger

Kenya Moore Apologizes For Behavior Toward Kim Fields; Also, NeNe Leakes Responds To Being Called A Backstabber

Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger and Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore were the guests on Watch What Happens Live tonight. Karen talked etiquette and Kenya apologized for her behavior towards Kim Fields and shared her thoughts on the surprise return of NeNe Leakes.

When Andy Cohen asked Kenya about her interaction with Kim, she admitted, “First of all, I watched that back and I was mortified. I think it was a big mistake for me to pull her chair. It was uncalled for. It was absolutely unacceptable and I do apologize for that behavior. I was in the moment. I was just fed up with the B.S. It’s something that happened but I’m really actually very ashamed of that.”

NeNe lashed out on Instagram when Kenya called her a backstabber on Real Housewives of Atlanta: “SAY WHAT! YOU CALLING ME A BACKSTABBER?? I don’t address issues usually but this backstabber comment coming from Miss Twirl herself @thekenyamoore must be address NOW! I challenge you to ask anyone I have ever been friends with and those I am currently friends with and that includes you asking @kimzolciakbiermann @shereewhitfield @CynthiaBailey10 etc the one thing they will all say about me is that I am a fun girl and I have a heart! In order to back stab a person you have to intentionally set out to do harm to someone and that ain’t me! When and if we fall out, I will read you, fall out, and move on! You don’t have to worry about me because I’m not worrying about you. With that said, I have been back stabbed by those I loved, cared for, and supported! I’m not in the business of harming people and I am not evil. NOW TWIRL ON THAT!”

“I was surprised she talked about Sheree and Kim,” said Kenya. “What about Marlo Hampton and what about her bridesmaids? I think friendships when you have them and they are real, you don’t spill each other’s secrets and you don’t come after their livelihood – all things that NeNe did. Whether or not she was acting out of emotion at the time and she felt that she was betrayed, then so be it, but don’t say you didn’t betray it. I do believe. I stand firm in that belief.”

How does Karen feel about Katie‘s boyfriend Andrew calling her a trainwreck? “Really? I’ve never had a conversation with this man. I think he should stay in his lane. We’re women – what are you doing? Unless you put on a dress, don’t come for me. Stay in your lane.”

A caller suggested that the Real Housewives of Potomac are NOT a good representation of Potomac, to which Karen said, “We don’t profess or claim to represent the entire community of Potomac. We’re six dynamic women with six dynamic personalities and six dynamic lives and that is who we’re representing, so I do agree with her.”

When asked if she knew before Jamaica that Cynthia had hired Kim, Kenya said, “Absolutely not. It was a complete surprise. I really felt betrayed because I really did work hard on her commercial and her ideas. I actually had two for her and I thought they were absolutely amazing and she never ever heard me out.”

Why does Kenya start stuff with everyone, then cry victim? “I don’t play victim. I own everything that I do, and I think that if you watch the show, you know that. Everyone has conflict with everyone on the show – to say that, is someone who obviously isn’t knowledgeable about the dynamic on our show.”

A caller questioned why Karen felt the need to school Gizelle. “Gizelle and I are friends and have been for a long time, but she needed to be put in time out. You don’t sit in my seat, not at my birthday party. Right is right, wrong is wrong, and somewhere in the middle is the right answer and that’s the truth.”

If Karen‘s husband is the black Bill Gates, why is their kitchen so outdated? “I not only love my white kitchen, I love both of them. I have two, OK?! I put myself out there. I own my kitchens. Get over it. I’m not changing it for you. I just did the research and the white kitchens are back in.” Kenya snarks, “Modern white kitchens.”

A caller said, if Cynthia were Kenya‘s friend, she would have told her NeNe was in Jamaica. “Clearly, according to Cynthia, I’m not her BFF – we’re still just getting to know each other.”

How does Kenya feel about NeNe‘s return? “I was surprised. I think everyone was surprised that she was back because she seemed as though she hated us so much last season. I think from that episode till now I’ve gotten to see that she really is quite changed. She is a softer person, and I’m really enjoying who she is now.”

Andy acknowledged that NeNe and Kenya seemed to be in a better place – until now. “She was defending herself against what she thought was not true,” said Kenya. “I don’t think that’s being mean.”

A caller asked Karen why she didn’t confront Gizelle on the spot when she sat in “her” seat at her birthday dinner. “I didn’t think it was the right time and place to do it with everyone together to celebrate my birthday. It was important to me that I pull her aside at a different time and handle this with her in a light-hearted manner, which I did, which totally went to the right. But I took care of it.”

What does Karen think about the Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s etiquette? “I think these women are absolutely phenomenal. I love the way they have that dialogue – they’re grown women, they talk it out, and they don’t put it aside and talk about each other later. I love it.”

When asked about Bob and Sheree together in Jamaica, Kenya said, “It was odd. It was like Twilight Zone.”

How does Karen feel about Robyn and Juan sleeping in the same bed? “I actually think it’s sort of sexy. Whatever it takes to make a marriage work – they’re not married, I know, but they seem married to me. I support the fact that they’re raising their kids together. Keep dating each other, sleeping with each other, if that is what you want to do. I am hoping for a wedding because they’re such a nice couple and they’re really good together.
