The Vanderpump Rules editors tried really hard to make Dayna Kathan a thing last season. She got so much camera time in comparison to all of the other cast members, including the veterans.
The season as a whole was really strange and felt like two different shows: Vanderpump Rules Veterans and Vanderpump Rules the new cast. And then on top of that strange separation, there was just way too much footage revolving around Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s pre-wedding celebrations. And well, the new cast members were not exactly a smash hit. Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni got fired for racist tweets from their past. And, then of course, Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute got fired for their own racist activity. And months later, Jax and Brittany announced they were “leaving” the show. The future of Vanderpump Rules has been in limbo for almost a year. But, we do know one thing is for sure: Dayna will not be on the show if/when it returns.
A Vanderpump Rules fan shared a screenshot of an exchange between Dayna and a viewer who wanted to know when Dayna’s podcast will return. Way too many people have podcasts these days.
Dayna commented, “I’m not returning but excited to see next szn.” Ugh why couldn’t she just write out the word “season”?

Dayna also shared, “The pod will be back soon, you’re amazing, thank you!!!”
Well there you have it. And, now we will ask the question that we always do. Was Dayna fired? Or did she quit? It would be tough to believe that she would quit the show. But, then again, it’s kind of a sinking ship. It’s not as good as it used to be and many of the cast members were fired or “quit.” I wouldn’t blame anyone for abandoning that and looking for other opportunities.
