Lisa Vanderpump Vanderpump Rules

Lisa Vanderpump Doesn’t Think Tom Schwartz And Katie Maloney Are Over

Nothing goes on with the Vanderpump Rules crew that gets past Lisa Vanderpump.  The highly successful entrepreneur also made a name for herself as a reality TV star.  First, as the most upscale of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.  Then as the matriarch of Vanderpump Rules, a show which followed the lives of her staff at restaurant Sur.

After nine seasons, it’s clear that Lisa does get emotionally involved with her staff’s lives.  She’s offered relationship and dating advice, as well as dealing with more serious issues, such as James Kennedy’s battle with addiction. So it’s no surprise that Lisa is offering her opinion on the dissolution of Katie and Tom’s marriage.  After all, they’ve been a couple onscreen since the show’s premiere.

While promoting her new restaurant Vanderpump a Paris April 22nd, Lisa also shared her thoughts on the former couple with Us Weekly.  “I don’t think the fat lady has sung yet,” Lisa opined, “[They say] it’s not over until the fat lady sings.  I hope, maybe, I’m gonna get involved with that. Yeah, I am.  They always looked to me for advice and I’m gonna give it.”

Of course, Lisa is championing a potential reconciliation.  She officiated their wedding in 2016, and has an emotional involvement.  It is interesting that neither Tom nor Katie came to their former boss for advice, as they had often done in the past.

Lisa continued, “I’m very disappointed.  Because, obviously, I was invested in officiating.  I wrote the damn vows- all they had to do was follow it.  But, you know, I think we’ve all been in a suspended reality.  I think a lot of relationships have grounded because of what’s gone on with the pressure, and some [have] flourished.”

Indeed, Vanderpump Rules couples seem to have been hit by a split curse.  Lala Kent ended her engagement to cheating Randall EmmettJames and Raquel Leviss also recently split.  Certainly, being on reality TV only amplifies problems within any relationship.

“I’ve been married for 39 years, and there’s ups and downs,” Lisa acknowledged.  “Sometimes you wanna strangle them.  Anybody goes, ‘We’ve got the perfect marriage,’ they’re lying.  Or, they’re married to something that doesn’t exist.  Cause I’ve never seen it.”

While Lisa is championing a reconciliation, Katie recently admitted that she was ready and “very open” to dating.  She told Us Weekly, “Let’s say if I was, like, out and there was some kissing sort of situation, I wouldn’t turn it down.  I’m open because I think it could be maybe potentially healthy or maybe good for the ego.”

Lisa suggests the two regroup, and focus on healing.  “They should take a breath,” the RHOBH alum said, “I don’t want [them] auditioning people right now.  It’s like, just stop.”

If anyone can get Katie and Tom back together, it’s Lisa Vanderpump.  Once her focus is off the new Las Vegas restaurant, i.e. “the sexiest place you’ve ever seen,” Lisa said she will have “a lot to discuss” with the former duo.

For those looking for an authentic, cultured, European experience, Lisa claimed her restaurant is the place to go. “It’s not the typical French Bistro,” she explained, “People have cried when they come in here.  You’ve got the French music and the candles.  Nothing is bought.  It’s just a unique restaurant, and we’d love doing it.  But when you come in, you do go, ‘Wow.'”
