Real Housewives Of New Jersey’s Gia Giudice Pays Tribute To Her Grandfather Nonno On The Anniversary Of His Death

Real Housewives of New Jersey has always been centered around Teresa Giudice and her family. Heck, as her four dorters get older, they’re becoming better Real Housewives stars than their auntie Melissa Gorga. Tre’s parents were a huge part of her story, too, during the time period she was away “to camp.” The death of both Tre’s mom and dad shook everyone, including the fans who fell in love with them.

Tre’s father Giacinto Gorga, better known as our collective Nonno, will always be a RHONJ star. There has never been another person on the show who is so ambivalent about the cameras. Nonno would do things like chug hot sauce straight from the bottle and boil squids in the wee hours of the morning without a care who was watching. It’s no wonder he was the father of two special characters like Tre and Joe Gorga.

Nonno’s death hit everyone hard, especially Tre and her dorters. April 3, 2023, marked the three-year anniversary of his passing, and Gia Giudice wrote a beautiful tribute on Instagram for her Nonno. According to Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Gia posted a series of throwback photos of Nonno that totally capture his lively spirit. She expressed her sadness that three years had passed since Nonno has been gone. “I miss you more than you know Nonno,” one caption said.

Gia also shared some photos of Nonno doing cheers with a cocktail and laughing with Tre and Joey’s mom, Antonia Gorga. “I know [you’re] safe with Nonna,” Gia wrote over one photo. “Cheers handsome.” It’s always touching to see how much Tre’s daughters really do value their family, especially amidst Tre and Joe’s never-ending drama. It was a beautiful way for all of us to look back and remember the good times with Nonno. It’s also a nice reprieve from thinking about Luis Ruelas wearing his deceased father-in-law’s pajamas and boasting about it on national TV.
