Paula Abdul Claims She Has Been Asked To Join The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills “Many, Many Times”

Can you picture Paula Abdul holding a diamond on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? Apparently, someone out there at the Bravo headquarters thought it was a good idea. In a recent interview with Page Six, the Grammy-winning singer claimed to have been asked “many, many times” to join the franchise. Let’s dig into this.

The revelation came during an interview at the Homeless Not Toothless Hollywood gala. The RHOBH ladies were there filming for Season 13, which sparked the conversation with the former American Idol judge.

“I’ve been asked many, many times,” Paula shared regarding joining the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She proceeded to say that other franchises have approached her too, but she played coy about dropping names. She teased, “I’m not gonna tell you [which].”

Although Paula has been approached for multiple Housewives franchises, Beverly Hills seems like the best fit for her. She told Page Six that she’s “friends with a lot of the women” and has been “for a long time.” And, like most of us, she’s a huge Kathy Hilton fan. She confessed to the outlet, “I love her!”

Paula is no stranger to reality TV, and she may be friends with some of the women, but it’s still hard to imagine her sharing screen time with the likes of Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, or Erika Jayne. And it sounds like it’s hard for Paula to imagine it, too. She teased that despite the many offers to join the show, it probably isn’t going to happen. “As much as I am absolutely the biggest fan and I love watching,” Paula stated, “it’s a lot of drama.”

Paula quipped that after surviving Simon Cowell for all of those years on American Idol, a drama-filled reality show wouldn’t be new territory. Still, bickering with Simon doesn’t compare to trying to get in the mix with the RHOBH crew. Where everything is good one moment, and then the next, you’re spending an hour debating the word “violated.”

Going into RHOBH Season 13, there’s definitely room for some new blood. Lisa Rinna is out of the picture, so the ladies need someone with iconic hair to bring the drama. However, it doesn’t sound like Paula will be the one to do it. Instead, there are rumors of a new housewife, Annemarie Wiley, joining the mix. Also, Kim Richards has been spotted filming for the upcoming season. The RHOBH ladies seem well-covered right now, so Paula can stick to enjoying her life and cashing in those “Straight Up” checks.
