There’s a very strange dispute happening between Lala Kent and Kristen Doute that has little to nothing to do with Vanderpump Rules. What it does have to do with is Lala’s perception that Kristen didn’t have her back and with that, the hypocrisy is FLYING.
Basically, Lala is mad because Kristen was on a podcast and didn’t stick up for Lala when there was a convo about Randall Emmett. Now Lala is peeved but Kristen has since apologized for any slight. It’s not good enough for Ocean’s mom, which is strange considering her own slights against others. The Pump Rules star addressed the feud with Kristen on Watch What Happens Live.
Is Lala done with Doute?
Kristen shouldn’t be expecting a make-up bouquet of roses from Lala because she’s standing on business that she’s right. But is she? While Lala wants everyone to ride for her no matter what, she’s a bit flimsy when it comes to loyalty.
Remember, this is the same woman who threatened to remove anyone in her life who still communicated with Randall. She’s also the same woman who “reached out” to Rachel Leviss after the Season 10 reunion. But you know, what’s okay for some is not okay for everyone in Lala’s world.
On WWHL, a fan asked Lala if she’d heard Kristen’s take on their disagreement. For context, on Kristen’s podcast, she apologized to Lala and even mentioned she wasn’t fully paying attention to the conversation because she was “exhausted.” At the time, Kristen was pregnant but she later sadly suffered a miscarriage.
Lala said, “I actually thought her podcast was very profound. She said, ‘If Lala cared about the friendship, she would have reached out to me.’ And if I cared about the friendship, I would have reached out to her and I didn’t.”
Kristen needs to remember this if VPR is canceled because Rachel bounced and the season tanks. She’ll be starring in The Valley along with Jax Taylor and if Lala needs a gig, she’ll be RUNNING back to Doute in no time.
Keep in mind, Lala is the same person who defended Tom Sandoval at BravoCon amid her “loyalty” to Ariana Madix, so her words back at Kristen are a full choice. It’s one thing to expect devotion from friends, but she might want to start practicing what she preaches.
