During the last episode of Vanderpump Rules, Jax Taylor had a complete meltdown at SUR in front of Lisa Vanderpump and the rest of the cast. In all honesty, I see why he would go ballistic: Scheana Marie decided to set up his girlfriend Brittany Cartwright with Adam Spott. Any normal person would be upset about that.
Here’s the thing though: everyone in this cast loves Brittany– who Jax cheated on with Faith Stowers– so it’s tough for the rest of the cast members to have sympathy for him given the bigger scandals in their relationship.
During the episode, Jax told Lisa, “I’m so tired of everyone flipping the god damn script on me.” Then he yelled, “Fuck you all, you lying sacks of god damn shit. Fuck you all,” threw up some middle fingers, and stormed out of the restaurant.
On the Vanderpump Rules After Show, an off-camera producer asked, “What precipitated that flip out?” Scheana answered, “Adam. It was Adam. It was me. It was my fault.” Well, yeah. I don’t even know why that question was even asked.
During the episode, Jax told Scheana, “The fact that you say you’re my friend and you brought him into my home and you try to set her up with him.” During the after show, Katie Maloney said, “He was getting mad at Scheana because Scheana was kind of trying to hook up Brittany with Adam. He was going off saying ‘He was in my home.’ And I said to him, ‘ Was Faith not in your home? And did you maybe not have sex with her in your home?” Damn. Katie added, “It was pretty much after that he just flew out of his seat. It was erratic, crazy behavior.” Kristen Doute theorized, “It was like a mid-life crisis explosion.”
Jax explained, “What triggered me was the fact that people weren’t just letting this go. It’s been talked about and talked about for weeks and weeks. I get it. I understand. I cheated, but this is between my girlfriend and I for God’s sake. Everyone else is doing crazy shit over here and they’re just hounding on me. I think that just sparked and I was like ‘Fu*k you all.'”
As per usual, James Kennedy came through with some comedic relief. He admitted, “I love to see Jax flipping out. I would love for anyone to embarrass themselves in front of me if they tried continuously to embarrass me for many years. Even if are friends now, it’s like ‘Haha, you f***ing dummy.'”
Lisa shared something that is actually pretty surprising: “I have to say, even for all of Jax’s kind of deplorable choices and behavior, for the most part, in the restaurant, he’s always been a very good employee. So I’ve made many allowances for him, but I’ve never really seen him act like that. Ever.”
Brittany said, “I honestly don’t know if he knew he was doing that to Lisa and Ken [Todd]. Jax can be disrespectful to Lisa, like they have their thing where they joke with each other and stuff, but I don’t think he would be that disrespectful.” How would he not know? Lala Kent theorized, “I think he was fully blacked out.” Brittany confirmed with, “Yeah.”
Jax admitted, “A lot of this has to do with everything going on in the summer. It’s just been sitting in my head and any reason to create an outburst, I did.” Plus someone tried to set up his girlfriend with someone else- I feel like that’s a valid reason to be annoyed… minus the fact that he had sex with someone else while he was still in that same relationship.
Katie said, “I’ve never seen Jax….” Kristen interjected with, ” Pull a Crazy Kristen.” Jax’s ex-girlfriend Stassi Schroeder shared, “I’ve seen it. A million times.” Lisa told Stassi, “There’s a lot of history behind that statement.” Yep. Seasons 1 and 2.
