Luann de Lesseps Wants Aviva Drescher, Tinsley Mortimer, And Jill Zarin Back On Real Housewives Of New York

The Real Housewives of New York is looking mighty different these days. Not only is this most recent season being filmed in the midst of a global pandemic, but there has been a cast shake up as well. Not to mention an entire social-political awakening to boot.

Season 13 of RHONY is leaving us without Tinsley Mortimer and Dorinda Medley! As a trade, viewers have been given Eboni K. Williams and a taste of  Heather Thomson. At this point, it’s hard to understand the remaining women’s thoughts on the switch up, but time (and a few spoilers) will definitely paint a picture.

In an interview on Behind the Velvet Rope with David YontefLuAnn de Lesseps gave some insight into her own casting desires. When asked which Housewives she would want back on the show, Lu said, “I’d love to see Tinsley come back, you know?” We do know, Lu! Anyone who wouldn’t welcome back Tinsley and her circus-clown-sobbing-egg-freezing-in-a-wedding-dress-crying-floor-throwing-when-the-coupon-boyriend-shows-up-self doesn’t appreciate the high art Housewives has to offer!

When David asked Lu if Tinsley was her first choice of people to return Luann revealed, “Oh gosh. Well, listen I’d love to see Tinsley come back. I’d love to see Aviva [Drescher] come back.” Luann also mentioned, “Aviva’s beautiful and she’s married. She’d be the only one married on the show.”

Lu isn’t the only semi-current Housewife to want Aviva back. Heather has said the same thing. Yes it’s true. Here’s the link again if you don’t believe me. Despite Heather once telling Aviva no one liked her, and later having a prosthetic leg with a stiletto thrown in her direction, Heather would still rather share a screen with Aviva than some of the other Housewives, apparently.

Lu was also sure to include another OG RHONY housewife on her list of veterans she’d love to have back. She added, “And I’m always happy to see Jill Zarin.” Lu also shared, more generally, “We all have to be on the journey that we’re on and, you know, I think God knows I’ve had my issues with men. It’s always about a man. If it’s not a pirate, it’s another marriage, so it’s about the rebound. It’s about picking yourself up when things happen to you that aren’t always positive.”
