Lisa Vanderpump Dishes On First Run-In With Stassi Schroeder After Vanderpump Rules Firing

Vanderpump Rules Season 9 is apparently happening soon, with a completely revamped cast. Many OGs, including Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, and Jax Taylor “left” (read: were fired) from the show after a handful of scandals. The VPR tribe still debates over whether or not firing them was the right move. But a comeback seems very unlikely at this point. Stassi is a new mom with a paywalled parenting podcast. While Jax is still blaming everything and everyone except his own bad behavior. Sounds about right.

Lisa Vanderpump has always been a ride-or-die for the Pump Rules cast since the very beginning. Even if she fires them from Sur or gets into heated arguments with them, she always wants to see them succeed. But once Stassi received her pink slip from Bravo, she apparently blacklisted LVP for good. Lisa even claims Stassi ignored her calls for weeks after the news broke.

In a recent interview with Us WeeklyLVP dropped some major tea that she “ran into” Stassi recently. “I did say, ‘Yes I called you back and I’ve called you and reached out to you.’ And she said, ‘Yes, yes you did,’ She was very friendly,” LVP said. She didn’t dish on how the conversation went or if she met Stassi’s baby. But it sounds cordial enough.

Lisa continued to say she wishes all of the former cast members well. “I also think they needed to learn a lesson about, you know, respecting other people’s points of view and having empathy. And looking at other people’s lives, not just through their own lens,” Lisa said. “Personally, I think a lot of people need to learn that.” But LVP did make it clear in the past she wishes that they got to learn that lesson while still filming the show. But what’s done is done. Sur lives on with or without its OGs in the mix.

Us Weekly also reports that a “source” said that Stassi doesn’t blame LVP for her VPR firing “by any means.” So it’s curious she distanced herself so much from the restauranteur who was so pivotal during her young adult life. But the firing was clearly an emotional moment for Stassi, so she might have needed to cut off all contact to get through it.
