Lala Kent Wishes Stassi Schroeder Didn’t Get Fired; Wishes She Could Had A “Teachable Moment” On Vanderpump Rules Instead

Following her  book release and the Vanderpump Rules season 9 filming announcementLala Kent is giving statements left and right. She’s starting to come for her remaining co-stars. And her fellow Utahns! Has she no loyalty?

Lala’s book did not take it easy on her since fired VPR co-stars Stassi Schroder and Kristen Doute. That fact is likely unsurprising to anyone who remembers the treatment Lala endured in her early scenes on the show.  More recently, however, Lala equated the two witches’ VPR departure to a death. A bit hyperbolic, to say the least. But what does any self-assigned superwoman hanger-on do following a “wrongful” act? Seek vengeance. And here we are.

In a recent appearance on the  Juicy Scoop With Heather McDonald podcast Lala addressed the clearly racist actions her former castmates took against Faith Stowers. At the time, when the real reality of the Pump Rules drama broke, it seemed Lala did her best to make things right. Lala reached out and apologized to Faith to rekindle their friendship. Meanwhile, Stassi was going to the press to drag Lala for her treatment of Faith off-screen. What a pal!

During the podcast episode Heather McDonald predicted that Stassi would be back on VPR in no time. Possible Stockholm-victim Lala replied “I could see that happening for her too because when you’re a good human being good things happen to you.” Yes. And when you’re a bad human being, bad things happen. Like getting fired for being ignorant and racially offensive.

Lala seemed to lobby for a Stassi return to the show. She shared, “I wish that they would have used that moment as a teachable moment, rather than just let her go because we’re on a reality TV show. We show what’s happening in our lives. I wish in that moment that they would have picked cameras up and they would have shown Stassi who really did build this like ‘basic’ empire for herself and what it was like to have to pay for all of these things she’s said and done in her past and basically lose everything.”

Gentle reminder that Stassi didn’t “lose everything.” She lost her spot on a reality show, kept her entire 2 million+ follower platform, her sizeable home, her family, and is continuing to use her Pump Rules fame as a business model. I’m also sure she’ll always have an off-screen hospitality gig offering at any Lisa Vanderpump establishment if it comes down to her actually working again someday. All that aside, Lala lamented, “I wish that they would have shown that and it would have been a teachable moment.”

Lala added, “I think she has a beautiful heart. I don’t think that she possesses hate. I think she says stupid things or has in her past as we all have. And she’s working on herself, which a lot of people pretend [to do] and I can vouch that she’s done a lot of self work.”
