If you have watched Drew Sidora and “Tampa” Ralph Pittman’s marriage on Real Housewives of Atlanta, chances are you aren’t surprised in the least that they are getting for divorce. Just this week, the two raced to the courthouse to see who could file for divorce first. But apparently one of Drew’s castmates didn’t see the writing on the wall.
Kandi Burruss, a veteran of the franchise, told Page Six of Drew, “I don’t really know what she’s going through. I do know I did see her two days ago, and she seemed happy.” Yeah, she was probably happy because she was finally getting rid of all that dead weight in her household. #dropitwithdrew.
Kandi went on to say that the two did a “photo shoot together” for season 15 of RHOA. But that she hasn’t gotten a response from Drew since she reached out about the divorce headlines.
Said Kandi, “Maybe she’s in a space where she just doesn’t necessarily want to discuss it but just focus on her. I’m just going to respect that. When she feels like talking about it, then we can talk about it. She added, “But for now, I’m just going to ride with whatever she’s feeling and what Ralph [Pittman] is feeling. I hope the best for them and their family.”

The Grammy winner was quick to point out that she and her husband Todd Tucker want the couple’s two kids to “be happy.” Kandi explained, “Todd and I are friends with both of them. Hopefully, they’re both able to work things out. And if not, my wish is that they can have great communication with each other for the sake of the children.”
Of course, there are things that we don’t see as fans or friends of these reality stars. But knowing what we’ve seen on the show, it’s hard to imagine anyone advocating for these two to work out. But Kandi’s friendship with the couple might be getting in the way of her good sense. Kandi and Todd even celebrated Ralph’s 40th birthday with the couple less than a month ago. So they all seem relatively close.
News of Drew and Ralph’s divorce hit in true dramatic fashion, with them each filing on the same day. Drew entered her filing just one hour before Ralph did. Since then, Drew updated her complaint to allege that Ralph is a “serial cheater” who “mentally abused” her.
Drew also noted that her marriage is “irrevocably broken” and she “simply cannot take [Ralph’s] continued blatant disrespect and mental abuse any longer.”
Since Drew joined the show in 2020, viewers have seen what looked like a marriage in trouble. Ralph was dogged with rumors of infidelity and suspicious behavior, all of which he denied on camera.
But the actress seemed committed to making the marriage work. In May of last year, Drew said of her husband, “Yes, he can be an a**hole. He admitted that he has owned his junk. But he is who he is. And he showed me other things.”
