The relationships of Southern Charm are all pretty depressing. Not to mention archaic. The love triangle between John Pringle, Austen Kroll and Madison LeCroy is a good example of both. Who can forget Austen getting caught in a threesome off season. Yet Madison stayed. Now John is trying to win her affection simply by….being rich? I’m not even sure what exactly this guy is offering. Yet everyone seems convinced he’s deserving of Madison’s affection.
I love watching two borderline unemployed men fight for the attention of a woman who owns her own business while raising a child and co-parenting. Not. Why did Madison stay with this jabroni?!?
What a tangled web Austen Kroll has weaved on this season of Southern Charm. He’s still reeling from his off-season threesome drama. Austen hasn’t been totally dumped by Madison LeCroy. At least not yet.
Despite the advances by newest cast-member John Pringle, Austen and Madison have remained committed to each other. For whatever reason, this seems to have drastically upset Craig Conover. Maybe because his temporary landlord and drinking buddy is too busy to hang out? Like, I really don’t get what Craig’s issue is.
The ladies and gentleman of Southern Charm are about to be hit with a dose of reality like never before. COVID-19 is making its debut in this episode, and things will never be the same again. Everything is going to be different moving forward. It’ll be interesting to see how they navigate filming in the midst of the pandemic. This was one of the network’s first shows to be impacted by the virus.
The drama is heating up within the group though. The arrival of John Pringle might end up being the worst thing to ever happen to Austen Kroll. His interest in Austen’s girlfriend Madison LeCroy is SUSPECT. This man JUST came into the group, and this is the chaos he is already causing. There are so many other women in Charleston that he could pursue. Why set your sights on someone you know is in a relationship?
This season of Southern Charm seems to have a very new vibe. There’s a new cast, but there’s also a new energy. Maybe it’s because three of our main ladies have exited stage left. In their place, we’ve added Leva Bonaparte and John Pringle. John has almost immediately started trying to swoop in on cast-mate Austen Kroll’s girlfriend, Madison LeCroy.
Unsurprisingly, Austen is starting to get pissy with John and seemingly the other guys. He’s also been majorly dishing his true thoughts on his other cast members recently.
Patricia Altschul always functioned as the matriarch of Southern Charm. She offered dating advice to cast members and played matchmaker with her themed dinner parties. Landon Clements and Thomas Ravenel never worked out and both cast members quit the show, but it looks like Patricia has a new protege in Madison LeCroy.
Patricia is not the only cast member that has an opinion about Madison and Austen Kroll’s relationship. But no one throws shade quite like Patricia, sipping a drink in her parlor with the man she really wants to see Madison dating. On last week’s episode, John Pringle made it known that he was interested in Madison, and while Patricia couldn’t be more pleased, Austen was left incredulous.
Southern Charm has had a fair amount of recasting this season. The show lost Naomie Olindo, Chelsea Meissner, and Cameran Eubanks. They added new cast members, Leva Bonaparte and John Pringle. While Leva is carrying on Cameran’s tradition of beefing with Kathryn Dennis, John is just being another grown-ass man-child chasing unavailable women. Don’t we already have enough of those on the show?
Shep Rose really is the only one we need to get our healthy dose of deadbeat with this franchise. He’s finally old enough, at 40, to use the world girlfriend for goodness sake. He’s really going for the good guy edit this year. Maybe he’s finally taking feedback from his previous years seriously.
The new season of Southern Charm has been eventful so far with the introduction of Leva Bonaparte and John Pringle. Neither are shy about giving their opinions, and they’re the shakeup the show needed. Pringle’s infatuation with Madison LeCroy is absolutely going to lead to a feud with Austen Kroll. It’s so messy and so dramatic, but that’s why we love this show. MORE PLEASE!
Kathryn Dennis has been toying with the possibility of making things work with Thomas Ravenel. However, she has to know that’s a horrible idea? Right? What could she be thinking? Going down that road again with Thomas surely is not going to end well for either of them. Something needs to go down that ends them forever. As horrible as that sounds, it’s the only way she will learn her lesson. Here’s hoping!
