Dorit Kemsley Denies Mistreating Dog; Says Pup Was Part Of Her Family

Season 9 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has really gone to the dogs, or one dog in particular — Lucy Lucy Apple Juice! If only Lucy could talk — oh the tales she could tell. Dorit Kemsley and her husband, PK Kemsley, adopted Lucy from Vanderpump Dogs. Animal lover, and swan enthusiast, Lisa Vanderpump started this center, and she doesn’t take kindly to anyone mistreating animals.

After claiming that Lucy bit her children and her husband PK, Dorit ~~dropped Lucy at a shelter~~ rehomed Lucy. But in the contract from Vanderpump Dogs, the adopter is supposed to return the dog to the organization, or else pay a fee. Guess what? Dorit and PK didn’t pay the $5,000 fee. That isn’t surprising due to the financial hot water that the couple is in. Lucy ended up in a shelter. Thankfully she was traced back to LVP’s organization because of her microchip. And Dorit had previously returned another dog to Vanderpump Dogs. She should have known the terms of the adoption contract. You should read things before you sign them, Dorit. So, “puppy gate” has been the main story on RHOBH so far.

Now we have Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave claiming that LVP told Vanderpump Dogs employees John Blizzard and John Sessa to leak information about Lucy to Teddi. Teddi would then expose Dorit about her mishandling of the Lucy situation. Teddi stated that she was told that Lucy was left at a kill shelter, and that Lucy was kept locked up in the basement.

According to an article in People, Dorit took to her Instagram Stories to share some cute videos of Lucy interacting with her family. In one clip, Dorit’s son, Jagger, pets Lucy as they sit in the back seat of a car. “Do you love her Jaggy? She’s our baby, isn’t she?” Dorit asks, and Jagger responds, “Yes.” Dorit wrote over the video with the words “Locked in a cage? Unloved? Mistreated?” along with tearful emojis.

In another clip, Dorit’s daughter, Phoenix, and Jagger dance around while Lucy dashes around them. Once again, Dorit wrote over the post. “Lucy didn’t partake in any family fun. She was locked away in a cage, in our ‘basement’ which we don’t have!” Dorit said. Another clip shows PK kissing Lucy and remarking, “Someone is pleased to see me.” It is safe to say that few RHOBH fans are pleased to see PK. Dorit also posted a picture of Lucy at a photo shoot with her. “On set with her mommy (me)… roaming around. Ha!”
