The Real Housewives of Orange County are finally back on their home turf after their raucous trip to Miami and Key West. As per usual, the vacation centered around cast drama and drag-phobic Vicki Gunvalson needing to have an ambulance called. Isn’t this her third emergency room trip on a cast vacation? Maybe Vicki wouldn’t be the best travel partner–for this and a million other reasons.
Kelly Dodd was front and center in all the Floridian drama, with some of her castmates not speaking to her during part of the vacation. She was on the outs with both Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador over comments she had made about the Jim Bellino lawsuit. Kelly had also stirred the pot earlier this season between Shannon and Tamra by telling Shannon some things that Tamra had said about her behind her back. Now, Tamra is trying to flip the script by telling her side of that story, which is probably no surprise to anyone.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Tamra was asked about the “rough patch” she went through with Shannon this season. Tamra responded, “It really wasn’t a rough patch, it was Kelly Dodd talking sh*t.”
Tamra went on to explain, “Actually, the things Kelly Dodd says I said about Shannon is the things that she said about Shannon. So, good luck, nice try. Sorry it didn’t work, we’re still friends.”
I can’t say that I remember things exactly as Tamra does. Wasn’t Tamra actually talking a little smack about Shannon behind her back and Kelly filled her in on it? To be fair, when you spread as much gossip as Tamra does, the fine details might slip your mind! It can be hard to keep track of all the stories you are spinning at any given time. Consider keeping a Lies and Machinations Journal, Tamra–it will prove invaluable for future reference.
Dos Amigas Shannon and Tamra have had a few ups and downs through the years, but they are one of the more solid Housewife friendships. Tamra stood by Shannon through her divorce and Shannon, well, she is actually friends with Tamra. Which is probably just as emotionally draining as supporting Shannon through her messy divorce.

As Tamra believes Kelly was trying to stir up trouble in her friendship with Shannon, would she like her to leave the show? Surprisingly, Tamra stated, “You know, I don’t ever want to say that about anybody’s job.”
Now don’t tell me Tamra is getting all warm and fuzzy. Of course not! She went on to add, “Like, she is good T.V., but if she wants to move to New York, OK, bye.”
Kelly has teased the possibility of joining the Real Housewives of New York since her whirlwind engagement to Rick Leventhal, but such a move would seem to be unlikely. And would Tamra really want to say bye-bye to Kelly? Isn’t the expression, “Better the devil you know than the devil you don’t,” appropriate here?
We all know Kelly can be erratic and dramatic, but she is also easy to cast the blame on. And if things are getting a bit boring on the show, all you have to do is poke the Kelly bear and she will liven things up. Which is very useful when you are Tamra and want to deflect your gossiping, pot stirring and plotting onto someone else.
