Vanderpump Rules Star Scheana Marie Responds To Shady Editing That Made It Look Like She Was Inappropriate With Stassi Schroeder’s Teenage Brother

It’s no secret (to me at least) that Scheana Marie is as good as (reality TV) gold. It’s also no secret that producers love trolling her on the show. Instead of showing Scheana’s emotional journey with freezing her eggs this season, we’re getting a lot of Scheana looking desperate for the wrong man’s attention. Whether you like her or not, remember people, producers and editors have the power to make cast members look amazingly grown overnight, totally awful, and/or anything in between.

On last week’s episode, the usually stellar editing on Vanderpump Rules hit a new low when they made it seem as though Scheana was hitting on Stassi Schroeder’s under-age brother, Nikolai Czermak, at Stassi’s surprise engagement party. Sure, some people, like bigot Max Boyens, would say Scheana is “boy crazy.” But the “boys” she likes are actual adult men. Don’t get it twisted.

Many fans had a lot to say about that editing. Scheana did too. One fan called Scheana “creepy,” tweeting, “but her interview about it was just as creepy so I think she almost was!! [hitting on Nikolai].” Scheana, never one to mince words, replied, “‘About it’??? It was most definitely NOT about Nikolai. You ppl are disgusting for thinking this. He’s a kid I’ve watched grow up. How the hell else do you talk to a teenage boy at a dinner table? Should I have ignored him?”

Stassi, her former nemesis turned frenemy, even came to Scheana’s defense, tweeting, “Girl, you were harmless. And watching that scene had me rolling. Whoever’s saying it’s inappropriate is a weirdo.” Scheana thanked Stassi and then continued to clarify the bad edit on Twitter.

Another fan tweeted to Scheana, “I agree with you, I’m pretty pissed that bravo would even think to imply such a thing.” That fan pondered [awkward grammar ahead for this twitter convo]: “I wonder if when they asked her what the youngest she would date if she had any idea what they were implying? Were they talking about the kid&then they asked her or separate interviews?” Scheana replied directly to the fan, saying, “Nooooo. Last summer there was a 21 year old (and looked way older) who met at a bar and we went hung a few times. That’s why I said that. Had ZERO to do w Nikolai. That kid is like a little bro to me.” Basically, Scheana is confirming that she was talking about a whole other person in that confessional, but it was made to look like she was considering Nikolai as an option.

One fan shared my exact sentiments on Twitter, saying, “Production is doing @scheana dirty this season! There’s no way in hell she hit on Stassi’s infant brother – that interview clip after was clearly cut from something else.” Scheana’s reply was, “Of course it was about something else. And I’m sorry, is Nikolai 21?? No.” Scheana is pissed, and rightfully so. Another supportive follower tweeted, “if any of the boys, ANY had been shown in a similar scene with a teenage girl so much backlash would’ve happen[ed].” This is so true. But we also know that production likes to present the men on Pump Rules as seemingly innocent. I’m looking at you, Tom Schwartz, the silent cheater. Scheana replied to the fan, “Ya my PR team is not happy!”

Bottom line, Scheana puts up with a lot of bad editing. But this time, it hit too low. I’m glad she’s standing up for herself and that Stassi did too. This cast and producers should be thanking Scheana for originating this series! I will say it over and over again, we wouldn’t have this show if, 1) Lisa Vanderpump wasn’t a mastermind, and 2) if Scheana had never had an affair with Brandi Glanville’s D-List husband, Eddie Cibrian. #JusticeForScheana.
