Dorinda medley & Ramona Singer RHONY Real Housewives of New York

Ramona Singer Says Dorinda Medley Left New York Because She Stopped Getting Free Rent; Dorinda Denies It

It’s officially the Christmas Eve for Real Housewives of New York fans. Season 13 is premiering this week, and it’s guaranteed to be explosive. Holla Heather Thomson is back, and apparently has a rocky return thanks to a feud with Leah McSweeney, or whoever she’s referring to as the “Queen Bee” of RHONY. Eboni K. Williams will make her debut as the first Black RHONY cast member. And all the while Bethenny Frankel continues to insert herself into the flood of news about the show, which is pretty “calculated” if Ramona Singer has anything to say.

I’m pre-emptively preparing to ask what are we doing without Dorinda Medley this go around. Dorinda was fired last year, and Ramona may or may not had something to do about it. And while she’s preparing to release a book (and plotting a potential RHONY return), somehow she’s still finding ways to feud with the Ramonacoaster. But is anyone really surprised?

It all stems from a recent appearance Ramona made on Accesswhere she was asked about filming without Dorinda. Of course, Ramona said it was a smoother filming experience this go around, whether or not that’s true to TBD. The interviewer mentioned that Dorinda was her neighbor, and Ramona jumped down her throat.

“You live in Berkshires?” Ramona asked. The interviewer clarified that she lives “where [Dorinda] used to live” in New York City. “She doesn’t live there since they stopped comping her the rent,” Ramona replied. It was rumored that Dorinda lived rent-free in a $10,000 a month 3-bedroom apartment in exchange for promoting the place on the show. Once she “left” RHONY behind last season, the word on the street is that Dorinda had to leave. The apartment went on the market March 2020, but was taken off in September of last year.

Dorinda wasn’t going to let Ramona talk smack about her without responding. According to Page Sixher representative Steve Honig clarified that she’s owned the apartment since 2001. “She moved out while having it fully renovated. She continues to live in her apartment on the Upper East Side and spend her weekends at Blue Stone Manor,” Steve said.

Ramona was also asked by Access if she misses filming with Dorinda. And obviously, she didn’t give a straight answer. “There’s one thing about our show on RHONY, it’s like a bicycle. It’s a wheel. It keeps moving, we’re all cogs,” Ramona said. “We have a job to do and Bravo knows what they’re doing. We had a great season. I think this season is as good as any, if not better.” Mona knows exactly how shady she’s being by insinuating the season is better without Dorinda. Like her Season 13 tagline says, she definitely is known for saying and doing the wrong thing.

So Dorinda’s allegedly still making it nice in NYC, but no word on whether or not she plans on voting for Barbara Kavovit for Mayor. We know she’ll likely be watching the RHONY premiere this week because she’s an Eboni supporter. And because Tinsley Mortimer, no matter how much she wishes, is also no longer an apple holder this season.
