Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent and Hollywood producer Randall Emmett kept their relationship under wraps when they first got together because Randall was still officially married. His divorce was finalized in 2017. Randall proposed to Lala in September of 2018 in romantic Cabo San Lucas.
Then Lala shocked Pump Rules viewers when she divulged that she is an alcoholic. In November of 2020, Lala celebrated her second year of sobriety. Unfortunately, the duo had to postpone their wedding, which was originally scheduled for April 18, 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic.
In September of 2020, Lala announced that she and her man were expecting a baby. That Pump Rules pregnancy pact was real! Randall also has two daughters with ex-wife, actress Ambyr Childers. Lala and Randall welcomed their daughter on March 15, 2020. Lala posted a sweet photo on Instagram with her baby and captioned it “Ocean Kent Emmett.”
The couple has had their share of relationship drama. Lala once deleted all her Instagram photos with Randall because he dipped out on putting away the groceries. That is harsh.
Quarantine also tested the couple’s relationship. Lala revealed that they had “almost broken up about a dozen times.” Wow. US Weekly reported that Lala detailed their relationship in her upcoming book, Give Them Lala. And I must say, the title is very on-brand for the new mom.

Lala shared that she was in a good place after Vanderpump Rules finished filming in 2018. She was sober and was engaged to Randall. Once the season began to air, Lala began drinking again. Lala wrote, “At least once a week, mad dram would go down between us. I’m taking relationship-ending, call-the-cops kind of drama.” During a trip to Atlanta, Lala gave Randall’s luggage a bath before throwing it over the balcony, along with his wallet.
Another time, Lala claimed that she placed her toothbrush “in [her] asshole for a minute” before letting Randall brush his teeth. That is so gross! I’ll bet that Randall sterilizes all his toothbrushes before using them now.
After Lala was drunk for days during a family trip to Disney World, Randall wrote a letter to her, planning to end their engagement. But Lala finally accepted that she was an alcoholic and shared her realization with Randall. Then Lala began her sobriety journey. Randall suggested that he give her the letter to mark her first year of sobriety, but Lala refused.
“Vanderpump Rules remains the greatest, most life-changing opportunity I have ever been given,” Lala wrote in her memoir. “But what reality TV does is expose you to the realities of yourself. If I hadn’t gone through Vanderpump bootcamp and seen myself laid bare, I might never have had the opportunity to rise above it and work toward becoming a better person,” she added.
After being in limbo, Vanderpump Rules is finally coming back for Season 9. Some “OG” cast members were fired, so the cast will look a bit different. Of course, Lala will be there to share her motherhood insights and continue to fight with Scheana Shay.
