Kyle Richards Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Kyle Richards Says Erika Jayne Saw Her Life “Crumbling Before Her Eyes;” Kyle Is “There To Support, Not To Defend”

Season 11 of  the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is the Erika Jayne show. During the most recent episode of RHOBH, Erika notified Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, and Lisa Rinna that she had suddenly filed for divorce.

Erika decided to divorce her husband of 21 years, Tom Girardi, in November of 2020. She accused him of infidelity. Later it was alleged that the divorce filing was a scam to hide the couple’s assets.

Tom was a well-known and respected attorney, but he had some major legal woes. His law firm owed out $26 million in settlement money to clients. Tom was accused of embezzling funds from a car crash survivor.

And that’s not all. Tom also reportedly withheld $11 million dollars from a victim of a gas explosion. If this is true, it is appalling. It is also appalling that Erika spent $40,000 a month to get her glam on.

Erika has denied knowledge of any of Tom’s alleged shady activities, but her supposed signature on some loan papers may prove otherwise. Erika is seeking a gag order to stop information from leaking out ahead of the court dates.

Tom admitted that he spent between $50 to $80 million dollars, and that he is broke. In March of 2021, Tom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. There is so much interest in Erika and Tom’s story that a documentary, The Housewife and the Hustler, will air on June 14 on Hulu. Well, Erika always wanted to be famous, and she certainly is now.

Newbie Housewife Sutton Stracke isn’t supporting Erika during her divorce drama, but many of her RHOBH co-stars are. The Season 11 trailer, which was shared on Queens of Bravo’s Twitter page, shows Erika and Sutton butting heads.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Kyle spoke out about Erika’s situation. “It honestly was waking up every day to headlines and just, kind of, watching her life…. I don’t know,” Kyle said. “For lack of a better word, crumbling before her eyes.” But how much will Erika actually share?

“So, when the audience watches the show, they have to remember, this was six months ago. It was literally unfolding as we were filming,” Kyle revealed. “Every day it was another headline, another story coming out, and some of them were devastating and I’m sure some people think, ‘Oh, she knew…’ and all that shady stuff they’re talking about.” What Erika knew is the million-dollar question.

Kyle continued, “But you really don’t know, and if you know Erika you think, ‘Well, why would she have known all of this stuff?’” The actress stated, “I don’t feel that Tom Girardi, one of the biggest attorneys in the world, was going home and sharing things happening at his firm with his wife,” Kyle said. “That’s not the relationship they had, but you’re going to see a lot of that unfold and she has a very, very difficult time.”

Kyle made it clear that she is supporting Erika. “I’m not defending, because I don’t know anything,” she commented. “I’m not going to sit there and say, ‘I know for a fact, so I’m going to defend…’ No. I don’t know, so I’m there to support, not to defend,” Kyle added.

Erika does have her own support system, the “Fox Force Five.” Lisa named the group, which is made up of herself, Erika, Kyle, Dorit, and RHOBH alum Teddi Mellencamp.
