Margaret Josephs really threw down on this season of Real Housewives of New Jersey. Her epic fight with Teresa Giudice in Nashville dominated her storyline. But let’s not forget that she started the season coming for Jennifer Aydin. The castmates have always had a rocky relationship. So Marge took things to the next level when she kicked off the season by spilling Jennifer’s 10 year secret that husband Bill Aydin had an affair.
As if that wasn’t enough, Marge is now insulting Jennifer’s clothing of all things. Bravotv.com shared a recent clip of Marge on Watch What Happens Live, where she called Jen’s outfits “not expensive.” During a game called “Questionable Behavior,” Margaret was tasked with coming up with a question for Jennifer. Marge asked, “Jennifer. I wanna know, why do you spend so much money on Chanel and not a penny on your clothes?”
Margaret clarified her question to host Andy Cohen and said, “She spends so much money on Chanel and accessories. Her handbags and shoes are so expensive — and then her outfits are not expensive.” I want to be annoyed with Marge for how shallow this is. Which it totally is. But in fairness, WWHL games are meant to be silly. This is likely the least offensive thing Marge could have come up with. And just as a I personal opinion, I like Jennifer’s style! I think her reunion look is fabulous.
But Jennifer is no slouch when it comes to hitting back. She took to Twitter and wrote, “Blessed to be at a point in my life that I can buy [whatever] I want, [whenever] I want- so I buy whatever I think looks good- no matter the price.” Amen to that! Despite the fashion dig, Marge at least handed it to Jen for her finale look. Said Margaret, “By the way, [at] the finale, she looked good.”
As for Margaret, it seems like it’s Jen’s authenticity really gets under her skin. She previously defended her decision to reveal Bill’s affair for that reason. Margaret maintained, “I mean, I knew it to be true, I’ve known for a long time. You’ve seen me in previous seasons; I hit a nerve, like, I’ve known this. I never wanted to say it. I was like, ‘You’re not honest and you’re not honest with everybody.’ And it’s bad. And I think that’s why I had said it.”
