Now that the initial shock has passed, the Vanderpump Rules cast is trying to make sense of the affair between Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss. It’s like moving through the stages of grief. And certainly, this betrayal must feel like a death to Tom’s ex-girlfriend, Ariana Madix.
According to Page Six, VPR alum Kristen Doute said on the Viall Files podcast that Tom must have been attracted to Raquel because she is “f–king dumb.”
Kristen went on to say she can “see why Tom” chose Raquel to cheat on Ariana with. Certainly, Kristen would have the most insight being that she dated the Schwartz & Sandy’s co-owner for five years.
“Ariana has a backbone,” Kristen explained. “Raquel does not. Raquel validates everything that Tom needs to be validated.”
As the frontman of Tom Sandoval & the Most Extras, Sandoval needs a dedicated groupie. And he’s found that in Raquel. Kristen thinks Raquel makes Sandoval feel “cool” and “talented.”
Kristen went savage on her ex-boyfriend’s mid-life crisis. She called his band “stupid” and made fun of “his sequined pants and his nail polish and his dumb haircuts and the pedophile mustache, for f–k’s sake.”
The VPR ladies rallied around Ariana after news of the infidelity broke. They’ve even taken it upon themselves to do some PR for her. Kristen and co-star Lala Kent appeared on Scheana Shay’s podcast, Scheananigans to update fans.
Sources claim that Sandoval has been “gaslighting” Ariana. And despite the long-winded Instagram apology, has not acted “apologetic” towards her.
Ariana has been avoiding social media since the scandal broke. She went off Instagram for a breather before returning to her fanbase.
“To say i have been devastated and broken is an understatement,” Ariana wrote, referencing her “darkest hours.” She added, “i am so f–king lucky to have the best support system in the world and i hope i can repay every single person for the love you have shown me.”
The outpouring of support gave Ariana strength. “What doesn’t kill me better run,” she concluded.
One channel of communication that will remain closed for now is between Ariana and Raquel. The former friends have not spoken since Raquel confessed to the affair over the phone.
