Lala Kent’s Fiance Randall Emmett’s Production Company Is On The WGA Strike/Unfair List For Allegedly Failing To Pay Writers

Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent and her man Randall Emmett have mostly been in the news as of late due to Lala’s growing baby bump. Lala proudly announced she and the rest of the Pump Rules crew made a pregnancy pact, and so far she, Stassi Schroeder, and Brittany Cartwright have kept their word. All three are pregnant, and are now pushing for Katie Maloney to join the fold.

Lala, of course, has also been busy getting into fights online. Her on again off again friendship with Scheana Marie is now off again. Scheana accused Lala of not supporting her during her miscarriage, and Lala denies all wrong doing. Lala also got into the middle of a feud between Real Housewives of Orange County stars Kelly Dodd and Braunwyn Windham-Burke. Perhaps Lala should instead start focusing on fixing troubles closer to home. And that trouble would be with Randall.

It seems Randall has found himself in hot water once again for allegedly owing money to others. TheWrap reported that the Writer’s Guild of America has, “placed production companies Emmett Furla Oasis Films and Pumped — as well as producers Randall Emmett and George Furla — on the WGA Strike/Unfair List, saying they failed to pay back fees due to writers on the series ‘Pump.’”

If you are put on the WGA Strike/Unfair List, that means that members of the WGA are prohibited, “from working for or selling literary material to any companies or individuals on the list or who are not signed to the current MBA.” Maybe this means there will be a delay in Randall’s production company cranking out more movies that have a zero percent score on Rotten Tomatoes.

TheWrap also noted that, “The WGA’s officers said in a letter to its members that the companies failed to comply with an arbitration award of $477,581.34 for unpaid compensation, pension, health contributions and interest due to four writers on the show.”

Of course there are always two sides to every story. Martin Barab, the lawyer representing Randall’s production company shared, “This case is not over. WGA has acted precipitously without a real judgement, which we consider a bad arbitration.” To which WGAW senior counsel Leila Azari clapped back, “On the contrary, the award is final and binding per the collective bargaining agreement the companies are party to with the WGA.”

Is it surprising that Randall and his company have allegedly failed to pay their writers? Sadly, no. Randall has a history of being in the press for such behavior. Dana Wilkey, who was briefly on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as a friend of Taylor Armstong’s, claimed Randall never payed her the money he owed for renting a room on her yacht.

Then there was the infamous feud between Randall, Lala, and 50 Cent. 50 Cent claimed Randall owed him $1 million dollars. Lala tried to intervene and defend her man, but 50 Cent was an unstoppable force on social media and demolished Lala and Randall with every chance he got.

In the end, it will be interesting to see what happens with this case, and if Randall and his company end up getting removed from the strike list. And time will tell if Lala speaks up about it. At the end of the day, she seems to be happy as long as Randall doesn’t take away her Gucci slides.
