2020 is not going to end without one final act of drama from former Real Housewives of Atlanta star, NeNe Leakes. After Bravo said buh-bye, she spent an unusual amount of time bashing the network that made her rich and famous. The very same platform that afforded NeNe the opportunity to step outside of the Bravo universe and into the Hollywood scene.
Somewhere along the way NeNe changed. She held the same ability to provide good shade, but she became demanding. Fighting with her co-stars was the norm. It seemed NeNe allowed the level of fame she achieved to go to her head. NeNe received approximately $2.85 million to âshare her lifeâ on RHOA, and yet she still complained. Bravo finally pulled the plug on NeNeâs antics and she launched a campaign to crucify the network amid claims of racism and being âforced outâ. But if you thought NeNe had calmed down and taken a seat, you would be wrong. Now sheâs calling on viewers to boycott the show â because she says so.
NeNe wasnât going out without a fight. She called Andy Cohen, one of her biggest supporters, a racist and manipulator. She compared working on RHOA to that of a minimum wage job at McDonaldâs. NeNe shouted to everyone that she was the victim of a #prejudicedplotbybravo to bring down people of color. But it boiled down to the fact that NeNe got the shaft because of her shitty attitude.
According to Ms. Leakes, we are all to boycott the show due to Bravoâs excessive tolerance of racism. Iâm not saying Bravo doesnât have issue with racial intolerance. Or vast amounts of alcohol. Or violence. Or drugs. But NeNe was not fired because she is Black. Hereâs the Twitter hill NeNe crawled up and wants to die on.

NeNe wrote, âYâall ready to start this boycott yet? What has happened behind the scenes is WRONG! While others were being promoted, BLACK WOMEN who created shows, created genres, built franchise and built networks were being DEMOTEDâŚTURN OFF YOUR TVâS.â Okay where is the proof of discrimination? In the $2.85 million salary? In the wedding spin off? Where are the damning receipts of this mistreatment? A fan replied to NeNe with, âWe will no longer watch the show and are officially forming a boycott in Texas!â Good for you my man, just donât try to talk to your Queen in an airport.
NeNe replied, âLetâs start it! What are we waiting for? A lot has happened and support is much needed. We must stick together in all racial discrimination situations. The viewers eyes were trickedâ Yeah, viewers were tricked when NeNe went on her Season 12 apology tour. Another NeNe follower wrote, âSending love and solidarity to @NeNeLeakes Day 1 #RHOA viewer here and Iâm standing strong in the boycott.â Yes, stand with the woman who said her husbandâs cancer diagnosis was due to his cheating. Glorify a woman who fat shamed her co-star after having a baby.

Then NeNe, the activist for racial equality wrote, âSign the petitions when you see them, repost the boycott flyers when you see them, turn off your TVs.â Donât forget, NeNe compared herself to George Floyd when she was âganged up onâ at the reunion. And she was serious. One user commented, âNene was a bully to production and was hard to work with.â No lies detected. NeNe fans began detailing the numerous times Bravolebrities have been violent and not kicked off the show. But NeNe spit at Kenya Moore, she ripped off a cameramanâs shirt and chipped his tooth. She was so vitriolic she had to sit out several episodes because no one wanted to be near her.
NeNe retweeted this reply, âAnd Michael D grabbed production booty and pushed them yet heâs still able to film, let it make sense.â While Ashley Darbyâs husband ALLEGEDLY plays grab ass, his blatant stupidity has nothing to do with NeNe.

Once again NeNe is excelling at the victim role. It would win her an Emmy if she could get a job. Speaking of getting a job, Iâm not entirely sure NeNe thought this boycott idea all the way through. There are rumors NeNe has a fashion show situation happening over on the E! network. Spoiler alert, both Bravo and E! are owned by NBCUniversal Media, LLC so sheâs basically telling people to blackball her own boss. NeNe wants you to cancel Bravo and RHOA, but it kind of looks like NeNe is the one with no viewers.
TELL US- SHOULD NENE LET IT GO? WILL YOU BOYCOTT BRAVO? IS NENEâS TIME OVER?
