Southern Charm Star Craig Conover Wrote A Book Called “Pillow Talk”

Craig Conover has grown quite a lot since the early days of Southern Charm. His lies about law school put his cat Gizmo right in the middle of his toxic relationship with Naomie Olindo. After their split, Craig leaned into his sewing game heavily. Now he’s got his own pillow company and brick-and-mortar store. He also finally opened his own law firm to prove to his naysayers that he really was getting around to finishing law school. Just, at his own pace which definitely wasn’t fast enough for a go-getter like Naomie.

Even his feud with Austen Kroll’s ex Madison LeCroy cooled down a bit. Well, after Craig exposed Madison for her FaceTime dates with Alex Rodriguez that may or may not be responsible for the reunion of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. Needless to say, there have been plenty of surprises throughout the seven seasons of the show. The only thing that remains the same these days is Patricia Altschul’s afternoon martini habit.

Craig finally seems to be on the up-and-up after suffering a bit from Peter Pan syndrome. But that seems to be part of the deal when you’re friends with Shep Rose. Now that Shep has grown up a bit, totally credited to his girlfriend Taylor Ann Green, Craig has too. He’s got a podcast with Austen among his new business endeavors and the two will be making an appearance in the Summer House/Southern Charm spinoff, Summer House Winter Charm (that NAME). Craigy’s been living the single life, hanging out with Paige DeSorbo and begging Kristin Cavallari to appear on Southern Charm. And I have to root for him – he can be immature at times but seems to have a good heart. And I only want good things to come for Craig and his pillows.

Now Craig’s adding another (hand-sewn) hat to his list of jobs — author. Someone explain to me how he’s the third Southern Charm cast member to write a book in the past year or so. The reality TV star-to-author pipeline is real. The book is entitled “Pillow Talk” and Craig revealed the news on Instagram. And he didn’t just share one cover, but five, asking his followers to help him pick which cover is the best. “I love having y’all involved and can’t wait to hear what you think,” Craig said of the book. The various covers feature the Pillow King sprawled out in a pile of pillows in various positions and the iconic quote, “What’s wrong with my sewing” written across the front.

Craig gave his followers some insight into what the book will be about, saying it isn’t a “silly tell-all or collection of random stories.” “This is my unedited and unfiltered story,” Craig explained. “From being bullied horribly as a kid and lying about graduating law school on time, completely screwing up lots of times, moving to the Bahamas, the stuff you didn’t get to see when cameras were down, all the way to being the only one who believed in my path stepping outside the ‘normal path’ an building the pillow empire of my dreams.”

Alright, I’m kind of living for this. First of all, I love that he just throws in the mention of his law school lies like it was an inevitable part of life. And secondly, do I sense a lowkey diss at Patricia and everyone else who dogged on Craig’s pillows in the beginning? Shady.

Plenty of people flooded Craig’s comments to give their opinions on the cover art. Cameran Eubanks selected her favorite, saying that Craig looks like he “means business” in it. Kathryn Dennis picked one too, saying “It’s you’re personality fun and playful. Reminds me of sitting on the floor of your first sewing room in that pile of fabric swatches. Now look at you! Proud of you.” These two have really come a long way from Craig’s unrequited crush on Kathryn.

Summer House’s Amanda Batula and Craig’s co-star Leva Bonaparte also made their own votes. As did Katie Maloney-Schwartz and Tom Schwartz from Vanderpump Rules. Sounds like everyone wants a piece of Craig and his pillows.
