Oh how the tides have turned. The enemy of my enemy is my friend and that’s the way the ball bounces on Vanderpump Rules. In this case, “the enemy” is Tom Sandoval and he basically has no friends except for
his pet Tom Schwartz. At this point we’re not sure his side-chick is even taking his calls.
If Schwartz had brain cells, he would look at Sandoval some type of way because he was played for a fool. Undoubtably a pawn in Sando’s affair with
Rachel Raquel Leviss. That said I’m not convinced Schwartz is aware of his surroundings, much less how he’s been used by Tom.
Despite being the most maligned man on Pump Rules, Jax Taylor now has the high ground. We didn’t get Jaxxed, we got Tommed, and Jax kind of deserves his moment to gloat. Since #Scandoval broke, VPR fans were curious to hear from the guy judged by Sandoval since Season 1 of the show. Jax did not let us down with what he had to say.
Yesterday, a Twitter user asked Jax, “Jax, of the current cast members, who is the number one guy in the group now?” Ladies and gentlemen I give you a man not bound by law, nature, or an NDA. Jax replied, “Ariana [Madix].” Jax finally became relatable for the first time in recent history.
There’s a first time for everything and Jax is on the right side of history. For all of the problematic people on Pump Rules, people like Jax or Lala Kent are not shy about their issues. Lala has some vicious moments. That said, she will provide a graphic outline with a summary, bullet points, and a full list of receipts to back up whatever comes out of her mouth. The point is, Jax and Lala don’t try to hide who they are and there’s an odd purity in embracing toxic traits.

Sandoval got away with the good guy act for YEARS. And no one really saw it under the veil of Jax’s lack of scruples. They tried to call Tom out. Jax, Lala, and obviously Kristen Doute, but it just looked like another attempt to deflect accountability.
Jax’s handing the baton of #1 Guy In The Group to Ariana received an overwhelmingly positive response from his followers. He’ll probably want that to spill over into an alleged upcoming appearance on Watch What Happens Live. Additionally, his name isn’t on the WWHL schedule, but he’s probably camping outside of Andy Cohen’s studio.
While Jax wallows in the acceptance being “Team Ariana” provides, he’s still the same person and still did the same bad things. No one is trying to erase the past or pretend Jax is absolved of the crimes against most of his friends. But if one more person wants to board the #Scandoval Shame Train, Jax is welcome to a first-class ticket. After all, the sun shines on every weed at least twice a day.
